We talk often about how yoga is a multidisciplinary practice of mind body and motion. This week, Swenja is going to add in something that quite a few of us could use, breathing techniques.
The air we breathe is important to us as the food we eat and the water we drink. With the idea that our airways play such a vital role in all that makes us function, Swenja is going to show you a a shore example this week of practicing breathing one nostril at a time while stretching out the face to help the over all experience. This is a short session, so please feel free to do it more than once if you choose.

Remember, with any physical activity, it’s important to know your limits. Swenja is a long time practitioner of yoga. If you are new to the experience, take your time to get into the motions and don’t over do it. Injuring yourself is the fastest way to ruin an amazing experience that will only enrich your life for years to come. Keep in mind too as your progression continues, that adding a healthy eating habit will add a lot to you’re program as will upping your physical fitness in other ways.
