We’ve spent a couple weeks with Amy West, founder of CUP-Health in Spring Lake kind of getting to know you a little. Amy is the founder of the practice and a long time practitioner in helping people with their individual and relationship challenges. This week, Amy is going to talk specifically about human connections and the difficulty we face when past trauma effects our lives together. It’s an amazing discussion.
We need human connection. It’s been noted that from the first moments of life, people need other people to sustain. Through those connections, we learn and grow, however we also open ourselves up to negative experiences. Citing some studies that happened with kids in orphanages, Amy shares the impact of early childhood neglect and the difference between, zero connection and some connection, versus a loving and nurturing family life that most understand. The social challenges and the relationship challenges are insurmountable for some. Imagine that spilling over into a relationship? Amy can help people understand.
Are there struggles in your life and relationships? Is it a tiring process and a feeling that better is out there waiting for you? The first steps are not always in anyone’s comfort zone. The idea that untying the knots that have you feeling that there’s no one that understands…..it’s a big move. But to begin with someone like Amy who’s years of experience and delicate approach to resetting what’s known, and not known is an amazing step toward a much happier and fulfilled life.
