Good morning and welcome to Mindful Movements Yoga with Swenja Tanner! This is our introductory episode and Swenja wastes no time getting right to it. If you have a yoga mat or a nice bit of floor to stretch out on, let’s go!
Swenja Tanner is new to the Muskegon area but no stranger. She is in the process of moving here as we speak and fortune kind of smiled on us as she is. It worked out that Swenja is buying the house right next door to our publisher and when she and her partner Brian came over for a visit, she mentioned she was a yoga instructor, and off we went. The house she’s moving into happened to be her grandparents’ house, so as mentioned, she’s no stranger and you’ll be seeing her all of the place in town soon.
The yoga. It’s a simple start really. Take the time to follow the instructions and learn the importance of the moves. Yoga is a mind/body discipline and to practice it with intent is the control of the body and to still the mind. It’s still a growing practice in western culture and to bring it to you in a worry free/judgement free place like your home, well, it’s a great starting point.
