It’s been a couple of weeks working on that head of yours.  Swenja knows that yoga is so much more than twisting and turning.  It’s of course a way to keep your body from “rusting” but that mid of yours.  How you mind and body work together.  It’s digging deeper and deeper into the ancient practice of this discipline and it’s offered to you here to bring you to the point of being interested enough that you’d be willing to try it in person!

All of our systems are tied into one.  It’s the practice of self care that’s going on here, and to find a guide like Swenja is a priceless way to spend a little quality time on yourself in a setting that’s far from the day to day of the usual chaos.  Quiet, centered and inward looking is where this weeks episode begins and where you will hear her walk you through the mindfulness part.  From there, there’s a little work on the legs and hips and then we wrap it up kinda quickly because after all, it is a holiday weekend and we all need that time with family and friends.

Speaking of family and friends.  What if you had a way to bring this to them?  Swenja would love to come to your home and work with a family or small group in to help teach yoga!  Imagine that?  Just you and those you are close to and comfortable with.  No judging eyes.  No membership to join.  Just a relaxed and casual setting of learning and growing.  She’s also got programs designed for kids.  What a great way to help teach lifestyles at an early age that will help with balance when it comes to all that life throws at us from time to time.  CLICK HERE to email Swenja about your group and build a schedule for when you’d like to meet up in private.

Remember, with any physical activity, it’s important to know your limits.  Swenja is a long time practitioner of yoga.  If you are new to the experience, take your time to get into the motions and don’t over do it.  Injuring yourself is the fastest way to ruin an amazing experience that will only enrich your life for years to come.  Keep in mind too as your progression continues, that adding a healthy eating habit will add a lot to you’re program as will upping your physical fitness in other ways.  On the Muskegon Channel, we have a weekly feature called Fit and Healthy With Becky and you’ll find a great new weekly work out there.
