It’s a serene Saturday morning! This is you time to enjoy a few minutes focused on yourself. Swenja joins us today from Pere Marquette one last time and we filmed on a bright and beautiful sunshine filled day. We are so thankful that you are here to spend a little time with us and to help unwind yourself for a peaceful beginning to a Saturday.
Beginning on your back this week, there’s plenty of time to relax and breathe. Eventually, the legs hips and midsection will be coming in the the practice this week and in our 14 minutes together, it’s a chance to let go of the things that build toward stress and anxiety and also a time to think about just how good things are. Attitude is a huge part of how we view the world. The never ending saga of work, life, errands, kids and more adds up and a release is needed. 1000’s of years of this practice are here, right now in your living room or on your phone to give a try and of course, if after the first experience you’re standing there going “whut, I don’t get it”…….keep coming back. It will sink in.
Swenja would love to come to your home and work with a family or small group in to help teach yoga! Imagine that? Just you and those you are close to and comfortable with. No judging eyes. No membership to join. Just a relaxed and casual setting of learning and growing. She’s also got programs designed for kids. What a great way to help teach lifestyles at an early age that will help with balance when it comes to all that life throws at us from time to time. CLICK HERE to email Swenja about your group and build a schedule for when you’d like to meet up in private.
Remember, with any physical activity, it’s important to know your limits. Swenja is a long time practitioner of yoga. If you are new to the experience, take your time to get into the motions and don’t over do it. Injuring yourself is the fastest way to ruin an amazing experience that will only enrich your life for years to come. Keep in mind too as your progression continues, that adding a healthy eating habit will add a lot to you’re program as will upping your physical fitness in other ways. On the Muskegon Channel, we have a weekly feature called Fit and Healthy With Becky and you’ll find a great new weekly work out there.
